Extrait d'une Release note Extrait d'une Release note Client Mac pour LanShare EX Citation: Macintosh Clients Avid Composer Products software Release 10.6 and Release 4.6 for Macintosh-based Ethernet attached clients require Mac OS® 9.2.1, and
run on the following Macintosh workstations:
• Power Macintosh® G4 (gray and white) with a 933-MHz,
867-MHz, 533-MHz, 500-MHz, or 450-MHz processor Avid recommends you have 512 MB of memory installed in any Macintosh client running Avid Composer Products software Release 10.6 and Macintosh Ethernet clients require you to install the DAVE software to allow them to connect to MediaNetwork workspaces on a LANserver EX. The client software currently only supports the use of DAVE Version 2.5.2. Using any other version can causeun predictable results. Due to hardware limitations, the 400-MHz and 350-MHz Power Macintosh G4 (PCI) platforms are not supported in a LANshare workgroup as Ethernet clients. If you are planning to connect one of these platforms to a LANshare workgroup, you will have to upgrade your Macintosh client to the latest model. Contact your sales representative or Avid Reseller for the appropriate upgrade path. Check the release notes that came with your Avid Composer Products software for any additional information on the correct memory sizeand configuration. | Citation: Using the Mac OS Multiple Users Option When using the Mac OS Multiple Users option, install and configure the Macintosh client as follows: Ethernet Attached Clients • Log in to the Macintosh Owner account and install the LANshare client software.

Make sure you also allow each Limited user account permission to use the Connection Manager and DAVE applications. Fibre Channel Attached Clients • Log in to the Macintosh Owner account and install the MediaNetwork client software. • For each Normal user account, create an alias to AvidStartup in the user’s Startup Items folder (Macintosh HD:Users:username:Startup Items) where username is the user’s account name.
